I have the internet in my room now. Connected to my computer and everything. And I actually get to see what the new blogger thingy looks like. But aha! I actually have a livejournal now so I will probably stop using this soon.

My glasto pages are up. Click here for thoughts but no photos as yet.

My livejournal is here. It still needs tweaking and sorting out and stuff, so please be patient with me on that. I'll let you all know if/when I decide to make the big swap.

Anyway, I have lots to catch up on net-wise, so best be off.

Dell STILL haven't rung me back. Quite a lot. First of all, my hands itch terribly because they got sunburnt at Glastonbury and I've now got horrible heat rash. Just on my hands. Nowhere else. V annoying. Bring on the hydrocortisone cream.

Today I met up with Iain, Sally and Mayer in the Camden Wetherspoons, where we drank alcohol and Did Not smoke cigarettes. Yes. I have quit. And I mean it this time. Today is day 3.
Last night I did the Coach pub quiz with Kirsty, Paul and Denton Junior (and all his mates who I vaguely knew). Ros and Dom randomly turned up as well which was nice. Good to catch up with people there.

This weekend is Sarah's mum's 50th which will be splendid, Tom's housewarming/birthday party which will be subdued as I have to rush home for said 50th later that day, and on Sunday I'm going for a Chinese with the Nham lot. Next week I will be on a boat in Norfolk. Weekend after that is Iain's housewarming. Weekend after THAT is Truck festival. Busy Busy. Must get a job in between all that, really.

Computer screen is still broken. This means no MSN, ICQ or regular blogging. It also means I can't read or write comments on blogger, or visit NME.com. Unless I use my dad's laptop, which I did yesterday, but I'm not meant to. ;-)
So the glasto update may take a while in coming. I'll probably wait until I have all the photos developed anyway. I'm sure I got a good one of Arthur Brown.

Mum has just informed me that my washing still smells of woodsmoke on the second time round. I think I'll wash the army jacket separately this time. Sarah's tent is laid out on the back garden getting a good airing before Truck.

I felt quite miserable today. Oh well. This may have something to do with the fact that I'm probably going to get a 2:2 or lower tomorrow. Which I won't be massively happy about, even though that's what I'm expecting. I couldn't have done any more for it, I'm just not clever enough. Hmm.

Sometimes you just have get on with it and put it out of your mind, I think. Lots of things happen in a year, or two years, or ten years, and although you always want to take the selfish stance and do what feels best for you, impossible situations always crop up. You can't rely on what someone else might do or how they feel, you can only rely on yourself. Cos everyone else buggers off eventually.

God my hands itch.

Phew. I put on my organisational hat and blagged us one of the reserved tables that we weren't meant to have. I had a lovely Chicken Moglai (no, not the band/furry thing from Gremlins). We then retreated to BNC bar and managed to spectacularly miss meeting Beck due to mobile-phone difficulties.

Last night I dreamt that Emily Eavis (Michael's daughter) had gone missing the day before Glastonbury was due to start, and I was called up to take charge of all the bands in her place. It was cool.

Today I revised some, made CD labels for my mix CDs, went to the Garden Party for a bit (but as I limited myself to two glasses of champers it lost its appeal after 2 hours). Calmed down a lot since yesterday. Tomorrow will be the Day of Hell as I have two, yes Two exams. Eeek.

Today I nearly forgot to take my bangles off before the exam - in the end I had to put them in my mortar board under the desk. I do forget I'm wearing them sometimes, but in a deathly silent exam hall they're slightly more obvious. Exam went ok, I was expecting some nice easy questions but instead they were all hard. Random one about Little Red Riding Hood employing Delaunay triangluation to avoid the Big Bad Wolf. At least I wrote something for each question, even if I was guessing a lot of the time. Well *deep sigh of relief* thats probably the three hardest ones out of the way. The four left I've had lots of preparation for, which is really just a bigger opportunity for disappointment. Oh well.

Plans are going well for next Thursday. If you haven't received an email then I do apologise. It's hard to remember everyone. At 5pm, Thursday 8th week I shall be getting rather pissed in a pub close to exam schools. Email me if you want to know more.

I'm still trying to decide whether I like the new Brassy album or not. Hmmm. It's not as good as the first one, but there are some good songs on there, that're kind of "average-song-off-Got-It-Made" standard.

What should be a nice day is turning into a shite day.

I have a splitting headache, lots of work to do, all my friends are out having fun and I'm a mess confined to my room, not wanting to spoil their nice day with my bad mood.

If you're looking for a quick laugh, google me and look at the 4th entry down.

Exam didn't go too badly this morning. That's the worst one out of the way, definitely. Today I had a horrible thought that I don't actually know anything about 50% of the modules I'm doing, well, not enough to answer horrible questions on anyway. I don't think I've ever been this unprepared for exams that actually *matter*. Although for one module (the one I have tomorrow morning) I can safely blame the poor teaching given. My chance of passing this degree with a reasonable class has been totally dependent on the tutorial system. There's no doubt about it - the modules I will do best on are those I was taught in 2nd year by Hanno. Most of those were 1-on-1 tutes. Save the tutorial system!

For no apparent reason I might make a best of Nine Inch Nails compilation. Passes the time between now and 24, I guess.

Schools dinner is indeed on Friday of 8th week, but I shall probably just partake of all the booze then leave, seeing as I probably won't really get on with anyone there. I'll just spend the whole time getting pissed with Hanno and my old Maths tutor who hasn't spoken to me since I fell asleep in his probability class in Trinity of first year. Or I could just not go at all, but that'd be turning down a free meal, wouldn't it?

Debbie Harry is so pretty. *sigh*

First exam tomorrow. Oh, and by the way, if you haven't seen them already, photos from Brasenose Ball are up on my website.

Could this be the best band ever?
And their second album...
Any band where the members are called Mr Anus and Mr Horribly Charred Infant get my vote...

Amalgamated Quiz things So to cheer myself up and hopefully motivate me for some work (yeah right) Seb and myself went out for a little wander this afternoon. Stopping off first at G&Ds we trundled down to the river to watch the eights (for about 5 minutes cos it was boring) then all round Christ Church meadow. Stopping off at BNC for tea and sweeties and a chat with Het, we then climbed up Carfax tower, which was cool. I should get out more:

Have you...
01. Fallen for your best friend? Not really. However I've fallen for people who have then gone on to become best friends.
02. Made out with JUST a friend? Heh, yeah.
03. Been rejected? Indeed.
04. Been in love? Yup. Well, I thought I was at the time.
05. Been in lust? Johnny Depp exists. Need I say more.
06. Used someone? hate to say it but yes
07. Been used? oh, probably. in fact, almost definitely
08. Cheated on someone? Fraid so.
09. Been cheated on? No idea. Blissful ignorance.
10. Done something you regret? Do you want the list?

Who was the last person...
11. You hugged? Kirsty, this evening outside the cinema.
12. You kissed? Seb, Thursday morning.
13. You talked to? Tibbs, moaning about how cheesy Top Gun is
14. that instant messaged you? Talking to Seb as I type
15. You had lunch with? errrrrrr probably Kirst Sarah and Trease last Friday
16. Who broke your heart? Dom did when he dumped me in first term of first year. Then I got over him after about 3 days, and then we got back together. Crazee stuff.

Do you...
17. Color your hair? Highlights only, after the awful perma-ginger of sixth form
18-25 cant be arsed. No to all.

Have you/do you /do you have...
26. Are you psycho? Not yet. Am likely to inherit paranoid schizophrenia in the next 10 years or so. Apparently.
27. Split personalities? There's definitely two different outward sides to me, but they share the inside bits.
28. Obsessive? About certain things (Elastica, Neighbours, Devant)
29. Obsessive compulsive? Possibly cleaning. I found my self cleaning the entire kitchen the other day. And cleaning the door because it was filthy. Also compulsively smoke, listen to music and check blogs.
30. Panic? Every one since first year.
31. Depressed? No. Happy Kat (est 1994) reigns supreme.
32. Suicidal? Nah. Having too much fun in general.
33. Dream of doing things instead of just seeing them? pass
34. If you could be anywhere, where would you be? somewhere warm and stress free
35. What would you be doing? hugging someone i care about
36. Can you do anything freakish with your body? Double jointed, so pretty much anything.

Current Music: none on stereo, but in my head i have the Rapture playing
Current Clothes: Truck t-shirt and grey trousers.
Current Smell: Febreeze (parents were round today)
Current Favorite Celebrities: Trinny and Susannah

ARE YOU...
Understanding - um, no. i find it hard to grasp simple concepts and ideas (according to tutor, hah)
Arrogant - More than anyone else I know
Insecure - Less than anyone else I know, but that's not hard these days.
Interesting - more than this section of the questionnaire is
Moody - only when under stress
Independent - you can only ever *really* rely on yourself. so speaks the serial monogamist
Emotionally Stable - not right now, but usually yes.
Attractive - no complaints so far
Responsible - for myself? no. for others? yes.

Panic was cool last night. I got a bit drunk again and smoked far too much. Excellent. Not so excellent was my tute this morning where I found out I did really quite badly on the past paper I handed in. Oh well *shrugs shoulders* It's made me feel guilty enough though that I will do some work this afternoon.

Hayfever appears to be under control. Headache subsiding.

And according to the IMSOC snogweb I pulled Juliet and Pete last night. About bloody time. My snogweb saturation is nearing 100% all the time. Out of 26 contenders I have pulled 20. Oh dear. Bear in mind that as the remaining victims include M&M (who refuse to snog anyone except each other), and the whole of At Risk, further progression may be tricky.

But not impossible.

The book thing

I have read 19 of these. I thought he looked like my Distributed Systems lecturer.

Then off to Jongleurs for the 'Breakfast. They were very good, although the sound levels weren't quite right. They played all songs I'd heard before though so toe-tapping aplenty. Got a nice photo as well.

Putting the Punt pass to good use, we trekked over to the Wheatsheaf in search of some teenage boys playing Rancid. They were called "No-Where Fast" and they were pretty good, although I'd guess their average age was about 14. Bless.

Sipping on 50p pints of XXXX (yuck, lager, but yay, 50p) we hung around for Ivy's Itch, who were bloody scary. That girl can scream. I was getting pretty tired by now, but stopped off at the Cellar on the way home to catch the end of Warhen (filling in for Smilex).

Tibbs had taped ER as they were all at the Union watching him do the Weakest Link (representing BNC, came about 5th I think). So we watched that. Now Tibbs has a cold, and I'm drip-feeding him lemsip. My hayfever has finally started to kick in - thankfully the Beconase is holding up at the moment.

CG class was shite this morning. Richard was sat next to me continually asking Irina questions while I was doing that thing of changing one letter of a word to make a new word.

The entirety of my notes from this morning's class

Luckily my tute went better. I was very disappointed as there were no Chicken flavour super noodles, only Mild Curry, Bacon and Sainsbury's own brand vegetable ones. Ick.

I will be attending some of the Punt tonight, however Wadstock will have to survive without me as I'm going to take refuge at my sister's for the weekend. I think I'm going slowly insane due to an overdose of Distributed Systems last week. This week my drug of choice will be Compilers and Programming Languages (harder than it sounds. yes, exactly).

X men 2 (or should I say X2, for fear of being corrected) was pretty good. It was better than the first one. Obviously I'm not a big old comic obsessive like some (heheh) but still enjoyable, still fight scenes with girls wearing tight black leather, so all in all pretty sweet. And the Matrix trailer looked excellent. Mmmm. Matrix. *drools*

'Twas Pembroke Ben Graham's birthday yesterday so myself, Seb and Andrzej trundled down to the Star before Nada Surf to wish him a happy one. We had a good chat, and bizarrely he's coming to BNC ball! Extremely random. He's got a free ticket as a reserve DJ but may not be called on at all for the whole evening so that should be really cool. Now all we need is the Teddy Hall Ben Graham to come and everyone will be mightily confused. I now have my ball dress. It's blue with sparkly bits, from Debenhams. I need to accessorize for it at some point. Saw a nice sparkly necklace but it was a tenner so I thought sod that. The dress cost enough. But I'm assured that I look OK in so it will have to do. Everyone was quite amazed to discover that I have ankles. So was I.

I went on quite a spree at the record fair, and bought the following for a total of £18:

- The Prodigy - Experience (filling a much missed whole in my collection)
- 5 empty cd cases (all of you who I've promised mix cds to will get them eventually, promise!)
- 2 Chris TT albums (the 253 and Panic Attack at Sainsburys - marvellous)
- This Is Tech-pop (compilation of electro stuff from last year, Fischerspooner, Ladytron, Crossover, Felix Da Housecat etc)
- Deutscher Funk (absolutely mental compilation from 1997 - quite similar to Aphex Twin)

and best of all:

- a 3 CD box set called "Techno - a New Dimension". Sweeeet. You can never get enough techno music.

Nada Surf were pretty cool. I was right at the front so I could lean on the stage, but got a slight crick in my neck as Matthew was standing right infront of me. Also a light behind him was kind of blinding me. But they played lots of songs I knew and Seb and me met Matthew again afterwards (see Ed Harcourt gig).

Right. Onto work. Eeek!

Daft Flash Movie

[ music: Radiohead - There There]

Ah, Blogger is finally working again.

Will post more later when I can be arsed.

*******

It's now later. Oh dear. But apparently I only have to answer 4 questions out of 6 (I did 3 this morning) so there's light at the end of the final. Tunnel. Whatever.

Had a nice lunch break with Seb in the Gloc, cheap yet tasty burgers and comedy jukebox selections. Clash, Buzzcocks, Stranglers, Faith No More and Spinal Tap. My go next time.

Bought the Yeah Yeah Yeah's album, which I listened to twice through. Still haven't formed an opinion yet, but I can see it growing on me lots and lots. Now I have something in my record collection beginning with Y. Hurrah.

I still havent been told when my other two exams are (5 of them are in 7th week), which is pissing me off somewhat. I already have too much fun planned this term, I must work work work work. Must have Concurrency all done by tomorrow so I can do the other half of the paper.

Big yay last night, as Phil (Mum's ex-work colleague's nephew who works for Island Records) said he could get me some work experience this summer. Bonus! He also said he will give me the numbers of some temping agencies that specialise in the music biz so I can actually get *paid* for listening to music! Well, fingers crossed, anyway.

To do:

- Find ball dress
- Write Hot Hot Heat review before the gig (heheh)
- Decide what bands to see at the Punt
- Concurrency revision (blerg)
- Finish last bit of project report
- Make a cup of tea. Lots of people with spears in the background as well - *drools at prospect of huge battle scene*.

Another chapter of project report written today. Bah. They take place in 7th week. That is many weeks, far, far away.

Anyway, it was impossible to work after 12.30pm today (the point at which the sun starts shining into my eyes through the window) as they're digging up New Inn Hall Street AGAIN or doing tree surgery or something, and hence I had the choice of stifling hot quiet room or slightly less hot noisy room. So I chose to go for a Frisbee picnic. Marvellous.

Blogging mid-ER.

Been working lots today. Hehehe.

Secondly, Yay, because Sally comes home from Germany (from Germany) tomorrow.

Thirdly, did anyone else hear about the new indie club in London? Called "Panic"? I wonder if there's any connection to the Cambridge Panic. Cos I don't think its us!

Tonight was fun, wasn't really into the music (Fujbucket, Sketches on a Six String, and another band who apparently had Lou Reed's cousin on vocals) but met up with lots of people I hadn't seen for ages: Daniel, Robert, James, George, Mat, Jez, Nico, Arieh, Michael, Simon, Jon, Ben C, (as well as Mayer, Iain, Joel, Yoni and Asher who I've all seen quite recently!). I do like knowing lots of people in the same room, although it makes it a lot harder to leave (half an hour of goodbyes). Me and Mayer were selling CDs on the balcony, and as such got quite a good view. Apparently Stephen Fry was on the guestlist (Jez had rung up his agent earlier in the day and invited him) but I couldn't see him in the crowd. Teabags were thrown as per usual, everyone seemed happy.

Legolas

Who is your Ideal Lord of the Rings (male) Mate?
brought to you by Quizilla

These quizzes are a bit too easy to rig, to be honest.

I did actually go out of the house today, to buy spring onions from the corner shop to cook my parents a lovely stir fry. Aren't I good.

Fears that the White Stripes t shirt I got yesterday would be too tight have proved unfounded. I have also learned that a t-shirt can never be too tight, especially if it's bright red. I actually felt rather fantastic walking down the road to Costcutter in tight clothing, huge boots, leather jacket and a spiffing new haircut, safe in the knowledge that I would look infinitely more cool and trendy than anyone else I would meet out there in Ickenham. Who needs Friends Reunited to show off on when you can swagger about feeling smug in your own home town?

Oooo that was good. And now I'm knackered.

Among the songs I recognised this evening:

Black Math (nice opener)
Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground
I think I smell a Rat
The Air Near My Fingers
Hotel Yorba
Jolene (yay!)
In the Cold Cold Night (bless - Meg was a bit flat but as cute as ever)
Little Acorns
Ball And Biscuit
The Hardest Button to Button
The Union Forever
Expecting
Seven Nation Army
Aluminum
I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
We're Going To Be Friends
You're Pretty Good Looking

And some more I didn't know. I bought a badge and a t-shirt which are both extremely cool. The badge looks like a little Campino, a la Meg's drumkit.

They didn't play Girl You Have No Faith In Medicine which is my fave track off Elephant at the mo. It's the Led Zeppelin-sounding one second to last track. Smashin that, dunno why they didn't play it.

Support were shite. First band were awful Ramones look-a-likes but slowed down x100 and very very dull, then a band with just drums, bass and Korg who appeared to be playing free-form noisy distorted crap, no tune or even a beat.

But all round a good gig. Happy happy me. Too short at the front. And not short enough to be *short*, either. Hmmm. I might get used to it I guess. But I spent enough feckin money on it, I'm never going back there again. Although I did quite enjoy watching Busted on "Toni & Guy TV". I never realised how much the singer from Busted reminds me of Rob Chu Mi (or Kids.... whatever they're called today).

Home now, typing on a crappy 56k modem. Yuck. Iain's gig was good last night. His songs sound great with a proper backing band (October Motorcrash - crap name though!), and he can properly yell these days as well.
Only stayed around to watch one more band after him though, 4 guys called "Atlas" (another crap name) who once again had that Chu Mi feel to them (although their singer looked like mosher Alex from BNC). Ripped jeans, spiky hair, I liked them a lot. Then they did a cover of My Sharona and I was totally won over. I've been looking for that song for the last couple of days to no avail. It's wicked.

Ickenham hasn't really changed much since January. Me and the girls are going for a curry tonight in the best curry house in the entire universe - Darjeeling Tandoori. *drools*.

No Glasto form. Will be dead pissed off if I don't get it. Although I'm gonna have to make some decisions about whats happening this summer soon. Hmph. I *need* to see Radiohead. And I want to steward at Reading as well seeing as the line up is a bit pants and I don't really want to pay for a ticket. And nice loos etc.

I've been on somewhat of a new music listening-to binge this last week, what with the record fair, Seb's mix CDs and the lovely Subpop compilation I got for £1.99 (including free playlist cd). Also I have the new Hot Hot Heat album, the new Blur album, I've finally got my hands on copies of Steal This Album and Evil Heat (ta Tom), Peaches, and Pink Moon by Nick Drake. It's a good thing I've had the White Stripes and Radiohead for a while so I can listen to something else.

I will have plenty of time to listen to all this while I'm chained to my desk working for the next 2 months.

I've made a wonderful SFA compilation. I realised I didn't actually own anything by Ash, on any format, so this was probably a good place to start. Also I've lost my tape of In It... (last seen in Kirsty's car near Cheddar Gorge) so I thought it would be a good idea to get it on CD while it was lovely and cheap. Ahhhh the record fair. Hadn't been for a while. Getting all the use out of my IMSOC card while I'm still living in Oxford.

Today Tibbles rather annoyingly won £75 by backing the winning horse in the Grand National. I bet £3 on Shotgun Willy who was apparently the favourite but didn't even have the decency to fall over in a spectacular fashion, let alone come first.

So, the Radiohead album "leak" is the unfinished version. Well, that's fine by me as long as they make it better, not worse. I think it's great at the moment so any improvement would be *amazing*. Don't fuck it up, guys! I'm also liking the Hot Hot Heat album and Seb's mix CD lots and lots.

In another great retail event today I bought a blue cardigan from Next, so I don't have to wear my black one all the time anymore. Will probably move the badges in that case. :-)

Thank god for ICQ file transfer

Hmm. Narrowly beats a Curiosity Killed The Cat 7", which would be rather ironic one feels.
Album : Possibly Roxette - Joyride.

If you had someone of the opposite sex coming over and you wanted to impress them, which CD's would you hide?

No Doubt - Tragic Kingdom. Even that I cherish quite dearly.

Is there a song that reminds you most of your childhood?

True Blue + Material Girl by Madonna, they remind me of my sister babysitting me on Thursday nights when my parents went out ballroom dancing.

I remember quite a lot of my childhood, and started being obsessive about music when I was 10, so I suppose you could count all old-skool rave music and early nineties indie shite.

If your life was a movie, what song would play over the following:

Opening credits:

Voodoo Child by Jimi Hendrix.

Love Scene:

Well there would be quite a few, so lots of music here.

My Bloody Valentine - When You Sleep
Smiths - Hand In Glove
Vitalic - La Rock 01
Queens of the Stone Age - Tension Head
Coral - Dreaming Of You
Primal Scream - Shoot Speed Kill Light

Driving scene that consists mostly of flashbacks and love lost:

Jeff Buckley - Grace
The Cure - In Between Days (for the wonderful long intro)

Closing credits:

Upbeat : Elastica - Stutter
Downbeat : Doors - The End

If applicable, name a song or concert that moved you to tears:

Radiohead South Parks gig, when it started to rain really hard during No Surprises. You don't get many defining moments in your life, but that was one of them. Everyone around me was soaked to the skin, but we didn't care.

Also, the acoustic version of Blowout Thom Yorke did with the Posies has made me cry on occasion, but I was probably in a crying mood beforehand.

Name an Album that is perfect all the way through - No filler, no bad stuff:

Elastica - Elastica. Nirvana - In Utero. Stranglers - Rattus. Prodigy - Jilted Generation.

Music you like that could be considered a guilty pleasure:

Liberty X - Just A Little, Nelly's Its Hot In Herre, 2 Unlimited.

If your music collection was about to go up in flames, which 5 CD's would you save?

My David Devant signed stuff, and cds people have made for me, e.g the first compilation CD my sister made for me, with the evil Mr Men on the label. I don't like this question. I would prefer to have my music collection made out of asbestos.

Is there a song that describes you or a situation so well that you could have written it?

This is the sort of question I imagine How Soon Is Now would be a popular answer to. However in my case it's probably more likely to be Amber by the Cooper Temple Clause.

Which underrated artist deserves more attention?

David Devant, although they probably wouldn't want it. Le Tigre, Brassy, Regular Fries.

Has a song or artist changed your life in any way? If so, how?

Elastica. Without a doubt. They inspired me to take up the guitar, which has caused me to make lots of friends and influence lots of people. Sort of. But they proved that it is possible to be a girl, be cool, write brilliant songs, play guitar and front your own band. And not be Louise Wener.

What is your favourite soundtrack?

I do love the Sound of Music. And the Trainspotting soundtrack.

What is your all time favourite music video?

I don't have MTV so I don't see many videos, but Fell In Love With A Girl by the White Stripes has to be up there somewhere.

Current favourite radio hit:

I don't listen to the radio much when I'm in Oxford, but it would probably be Junior Senior.

Do you sing or play any musical instruments?

Yes.

Work sucks ass. Ta, Seb. :-)

The infamous Krazyhouse was indeed an extremely large mosh extravaganza. Probably a bit too big to be honest. Imagine Sabotage spread out over 3 floors, with extra seats and pool tables. Shame I wasn't in more of a mosh mood - I think I'm getting old. I've been spoilt in Oxford this last term with Boutique, guaranteed excellent clubbing every week with lots of people I know and an exclusive place behind the DJ booth to chill if I get knackered.

Tonight shall be spent relaxing infront of 24, starting the next chapter of my project report (which I have to say is the most fun thing ever) and drinking tea.

Smash the glass and get the emergency zimmer frame out. Kat is officially OLD!

Finally put the washing on. Well done me.

Well, I've recovered rather quickly from the horrible dark stabbing pain of rejection that was yesterday. In fact, it's kinda like I never applied in the first place and am yet again in a whirling miasma of quandry about what to do next year.

Tomorrow, I will attempt to get the phrase "cavalcade of whimsy" into my blog entry. Well, I probably won't seeing as I'll be in Liverpool.

Currently on the stereo: Mayer's cd "Fragile Records". It's basically all his mates who have ever put something onto mp3, and some of it's bloody good. I might do a website for it, just for the hell of it. Why not.

Had an interesting game of Sex Challenge (also known as Dilemma) with the BNC posse last night. The rules are very simple. You must choose which one you would sleep with if you absolutely had to.

Michael Moore or Jack Dee?
Sara Cox or Denise Van Outen?
Sean Connery or Roger Moore?
Russell Crowe or Jim Carey?
Jo Brand or Victoria Wood?
George W Bush or Putin?
[ insert minging tutor here ] or [ insert another minging tutor here ]
or for the puerile: "Your mum" or "Your sister" etc etc.

The more agonising the decision, the more interesting the game. Especially if you name people in the room.

An alternative is "Kill, Shag, Marry" where you must allocate which fate is assigned to three people. Example:

Dr Carter, Dr Kovac, Dr Romano off ER.
Shag Kovac, Kill Romano, Marry Carter. (Easy one that).

The Sex in the City girls minus Charlotte:
Shag Carrie, Kill Samantha, Marry Miranda (cos she's a lawyer - security, innit).

The Beatles:
Shag John, Kill Paul, Marry George (Ringo was off out somewhere)

(btw if you choose to shag someone, it's a one off thing. You will never shag them again. Whereas marriage implies multiple shags)

Right. Probably won't update till Sunday now. Wish me luck in Scouseland - most likely I'll come back having had all my worldly possessions nicked. Heheh.

Arse.
